Jessica Sexton, Esq.
Jessica Sexton is a San Antonio native whose path to family law is rooted in service, education, and compassion. Before becoming an attorney, Jessica spent years teaching in public schools and later guiding students as an LSAT tutor, experiences that taught her patience, empathy, and the value of honest communication.
Jessica graduated cum laude from the University of Texas at San Antonio before earning her law degree from St. Mary’s University School of Law, where she received the Faculty Award for Academic Excellence in Family Law. While in law school, she dedicated dozens of hours to pro bono work through the San Antonio Legal Services Association’s Veterans Clinic, and was honored with the “Rock of Justice” Women in Leadership Award, a recognition voted on by peers and professors for her commitment to service and leadership. She is also a licensed Family Law Mediator.
Since 2024, Jessica has been part of Jean Brown Law, working closely under the mentorship of Jean Brown and gaining hands-on courtroom experience in a wide variety of family law matters. She also serves on the Board of Directors for the Atascosa Public Defenders Office, reflecting her strong belief that access to justice should be available to everyone.
Having pursued law school while raising a family and working, Jessica understands firsthand what it means to face life’s challenges with resilience and emerge stronger. She brings that same perspective to her clients, many of whom are navigating divorce, custody disputes, or other deeply personal struggles. Jessica combines compassion with candor, offering support when it is needed most while also providing the honesty and toughness required to help clients move toward a place of stability and flourishing.
Outside of the office, Jessica lives in Pleasanton with her husband and two children. She is a certified yoga instructor, an avid gardener, and enjoys the balance of family, community, and professional life.
